Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a “Dental Home” for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If old enough, your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less to-do concerning the visit, the better.
It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as “needle”, “shot”, “pull”, “drill” or “hurt”. The office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message, but are pleasant and non-frightening to the child.
alice-and-i (1)We are pediatric dental specialist and our practice takes the whole child and their needs into consideration. Our caring and concern for our patients is a hallmark of our practice. We strive to provide a positive dental experience for our pediatric patients so that they grow to become confident adults with positive outlook on oral health. Children are not little humans and their dental and psychological needs have different demands than adults. Our office is designed to offer kid-friendly and warm environment where our pediatric patients can feel safe and welcome. Parents are welcome to stay in the procedure room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.
We offer the state of the art technology such as digital x-ray machines to eliminate unnecessary radiation. Because of the growing concern of latex allergies we only use non-latex products. We don’t treat your child with anything that we wouldn’t feel comfortable using on our own children.
Our office is conveniently located near major highways and public transportation. We also have free patients parking on site. We are located in New Hyde Park, Nassau County.
